Sorry, this isn’t a particularly exciting post but I’ve been digging through old Eve videos lately getting inspiration and plotting some ideas for fun. It can be frustrating digging through pages and pages of forum posts to find what you’re looking for but thankfully Darthewok made an Eve video index on the Eve wiki.
In other news, thanks to everyone who has been checking out the new Rifter Guide and leaving comments and feedback. Once the patch is deployed in November I’m going to grab a stack of Rifters and go hit lowsec for a bit to get a feeling for the changes and then hopefully release version 2.1 of the guide.
Armour HACs have become the defacto fleet in null security space. With a strong Guardian spider tank and tiny signature radiuses they are pretty much impervious to any form of damage. Guns have a hard time killing them before the Guardians can get their reppers running and bombs are completely useless against such a small signature radius. Our forums have been full of people trying to come up with solid counters and at the same time adapt the tactic to our own needs. It looks like Agony Unleashed have managed to come up with a solution, though. Full details can be found on the Eve Online forums.
The new trailer for Dominion is here. Other than the fact that was obviously made before the Supercarrier/Mothership changes were rolled back it is probably my favourite Eve trailer yet. Kind of makes me want to get involved in nullsec warfare.

Just like before there’s a whole bunch of solo Rifter piracy with a little bit of sexy faction and some gang stuff thrown in for good measure.
There are a couple of very cool videos up on the MyEve forum at the moment. I’m pretty sure anyone who reads this will love them, especially the Minmatar pilots amongst you.
Disintigrated features Disintigrator flying Tempests, Hurricanes, Jaguars, Claws, and Rifters. Most of the action takes place in null sec but there’s plenty of solo carnage to whet even the most bloodthirsty Sebestior’s appetite. His Claw piloting in particular is an absolute delight. I have the parts on order to change my current afterburner Claws into a proper dogfighting interceptor so I can have a go at emulating him.
Negative Eleven shows, amongst other ships, quite how amazing the Jaguar can be when you pimp it out a bit. Mezzik spends plenty of cash on his fittings but I do like the look of the small shield booster setup rather than the more traditional passive tanks. With the price of assault frigate hulls being what it is a couple of deadspace modules are probably worth it just to keep the thing alive.
Its good to see the small Minmatar ships getting plenty of video love. It shows I’m not alone in appreciating their power and flexibility.
After plugging various videos that I’ve enjoyed watching, its time to reverse the trend a bit. May I present to you ‘Inconceivable’, my first foray into proper Eve video making.

Former Tusker Kor Anon has finally got round to releasing his Maller video. Most people think of the Maller as a tanky brick. Kor will definitely change your mind about this ship.

He then moved to Rionnag Alba and followed them into Northern Coalition. where he fought all over Eve before deciding to return to his roots and return to lowsec with Gunpoint Diplomacy.
Realising that piracy wasn't his thing any more he has reluctantly bid farewell to his friends in RANSM and is now enjoying life in Matari Exodus, roaming solo and in small gangs throughout New Eden.
