Another day, another bubble camp in KLY-C0. This time I decided to mix it up a little bit and add another new ship to my arsenal. After a couple of highly successful camps in the Jaguar I decided that I would finally undock my new Ishkur, named in honour of one of the finest Ishkur pilots I know, and give her a go.

I don’t have much experience flying Gallente frigates other than the Taranis so the first think that I noticed was how slow the Ishkur is. My Jaguar goes 1,155 m/s with no implants but even with a Zor’s Navigation Hyperlink and 3% velocity implant I can only get 918 m/s out of the Ishkur. It turns out that this slight speed difference really is noticeable when, for example, trying to catch interceptors that burn out of my bubble. If I don’t land a scram and web on them very quickly they can get out of my range before the sluggish Ishkur has got up the speed to catch them. The other thing that I’ve noticed is that blaster tracking is terrible. Orbitting a Wolf at 500 m with my afterburner on resulted in pretty much no hits and I had to cut the thrusters just to get my damage to register.
Overall I’m very happy with the Ishkur. I missed getting tackle on a Stiletto but later on had a nice little fight with an Ares, Wolf, and two Purifiers. The damage from the Ishkur is phenomenal and I was able to down the gang while only taking shield damage. I got lucky when the Purifiers, who had warped off at the start of the fight, warped back into the Wolf gangmate just as he exploded allowing me to snag one of them while their bombs flew off in random directions. Terrible piloting on their behalf but it made me feel better about missing the Purifier that was stealing my kills yesterday. I also managed to snag a couple of Crows to make up for the Stiletto that escaped. KLY-C0 is being so good to me for kills I think I’m going to have to drop a can somewhere to keep bubbles and loot in!
I’m definitely going to fly her some more. The ambit rigs that I have at the moment are too help me kite other blaster frigates but the more I think about it the more I think I might be better off just going with railguns and putting on damage rigs instead. I’ll just have to experiment and let you know how I get on.

What are your favourite Ishkur fits? On that note I’m also looking for ideas for more frigates to fly so if anyone has any fits for Harpies, Maledictions, Crusaders, and Sentinels then let me know.
