Great job, two things are missing though: rigs and drones.

    Rigs:
Particle Dispersion Augmentors – strengthen jamming, but decreased shields as a drawback
Particle Dispersion Projectors – increase optimal range of Electronic Warfare modules, but decreased shields as a drawback

    Drones:
    Hornet EC-300 (light)
    Vespa EC-600 (medium)
    Wasp EC-900 (heavy)

Drones are debatable but you certainly want rigs.

Awesome! That was fun and entertaining even when I already knew all of that, excellent guide m8!

Awsome!!! Can’t wait to try this out there. It’s hard to be a noob, most people don’t have the time to teach you stuff. But with some simple guides like this, you can became a usefull part of a gang, and get invited more often to take part in the action. Again I have to say mate, you are the best…

Beautiful find, both the graphic and the link to scrapheap-challenge.

    Thanks!

Awesome presentation of ECM. Definitely will be pointing some people to your diagram that need it! Oh and congrats on your lastest accomplishments.

    GLORIOUS…….nice ^_^

I don’t fleet much so I have gotta ask – is this (the Blackbird/Falcon) one of the main reasons for sniping.??

From what I have read sniping groups in fleets are fairly popular.

  8. Raxip Elamp Says:

Cool guide, mate. As a seasoned BB pilot, I knew most of it, but the turning off autorepeat was new to me.

  9. Cozmik R5 Says:

Awesome post dude! I think I’ll go buy a few Blackbirds just for the hell of it :)

  10. Jaxley Says:

I demand the Rifter guide to be presented in the exact same fashion. ;D

  14. Kamden Line Says:

I just learned everything I need to know about jamming. Now, it is time to fit my blackbird and go and solo in it!

    /joking.

  15. Wensley Says:

Sniping is used because it gives you a large range of effective engagement distances, means you can’t be sniped yourself, and also makes it harder for the enemy to tackle your fleet. In very large fleet fights there is not much e-war to be seen. Its main use now would most likely be to interfere with logistics rather than damage dealers.

  16. Wensley Says:

You know what. I might actually try to do something vaguely similar. We’ll see, eh? Will give me something to do while I wait on Helicity.

  17. tnankie Says:

I am in two minds about putting this one out there, however its probably obvious to most people. Anyone who is likely to read this is only going to make the same mistake once and the people who continue to fail wont ever read this so here goes.

Rather than remembering names and all that crap the easy way to use racials is to match colours. Once you have a ship targeted a little picture appears at the top of the screen (der), the back ground of this picture specifys the race of the ship. red/orange is Minmatar, yellow/white/gold, is Amar, Green is Galente and Blue is Caldari. Now it just so happens that your ECM modules use the same colour code. So just put the yellow ones on Amar(yellow ship), red on Minmitar(red/orange ship) etc.

  22. Dong Orson Says:

I’ve had a few experiences with ECM vs a Falcon and lets just say the results weren’t all that great for me or my corp mates. While I’m at it thanks for the Rifter guide its awesome and has saved me a lot of isk.

  23. Xalorous Says:

Rigs yes, according to your wallet. Drones no.

Forget the small/nonexistent dronebays. The real issue is range. With GOOD drone skills you have to close within 54km to engage your drones. At this point, any non-short-range enemy is locking you and planning to alpha your paperthin ECM boat.

    Maintain sniping range. Priorities:

#1 Enemy ECM – Jam these.

#2 Enemy snipers – Jam/Evade (warp out and back to different location)

#3 Enemy Ewar ships – Jam these too

#4 Interceptors/faction frigs coming for you – Evade

#5 Any target called Secondary or as a Jamming target.

Why not jam primary? Unless they’re a really tough nut, they’re going to go down faster than 1 Jamming cycle. So jam the ships that will be around for a cycle.

What if there’s 2 ships and you’ve got 3 jammers unused? Do you put on extras? Hell no, save those for new targets.

  25. Grohal Says:

Nice guide Wens, thanks for pointing that out. One question, what is the point in turning auto-repeat off? Why do you want the module to deactivate?

By the way, sorry for missing the last few episodes of WWW. School is almost done for good so I should be around a good bit this summer.

  26. admin Says:

I don’t fly ECM mate but I assume the point is to make sure that you only have one jam cycle per ship, letting you do more with your other jammers.

  27. Caster Rom Says:

    Turning auto-repeat off means that;
If your first jammer failed but your second one succeeded, your first jammer wont automatically waste another cycle on the target now that is already jammed (by the second one). This leaves the first jammer free for another open target or if/when the second one fails on the original target.
Hope that helps mate! And dude, looking forward to more WWW with ya! >:D

  31. Wensley Says:

Which one? I'll try and dig it out on Google's cache.

  32. Wensley Says:

Had a look but can't find an archived version of it anywhere. Mental note: In the future locally host such things.

  33. Grim Says:

Lol – yeah. I had this one saved as a favorite in capsuleer (iPhone). I went to dig it out to find something fun to new PVP Corp mates. Oh well! If you find it, let me know! Btw, seen you in Skarkon 2 weeks ago. Cheers
