New Agony Basic Class, More PvP Scholarships

Add comments

The last Agony Basic Class had 3 Rifter Drifter scholars who had a great time. One of them has even gone so far as to join Agony Unleashed having done another two classes with them. PvP in Eve is great fun and, if you haven’t already, you should really give it a try. Agony are running another Basic class on April 17th. Enrolment opens on April 4th. All you have to do to claim a PvP scholarship is to say that An’Har Family Industries [ANHAR] will be paying for your class. Its fun, informative, and free. Simples.

I really enjoyed the PVP Advanced class I just took. I’ve done the BASIC and Wolfpacks already last year, and the new structure of two days instead of one is much better than the one long 8 to 10 hour day.

I wrote about the experience here: http://www.thinkdreams.com/eve/2010/03/19/agony-u... and here: http://www.thinkdreams.com/eve/2010/03/29/agony-u... if anyone is interested. They are really great classes and worth every ISK you pay. The course materials alone are worth the entry fee – very detailed and well-written. And to top it off, their FCs are a model for what every budding FC should aspire to be like. It’s very cool you’re sponsoring PVP Basic students to go. Figured you might want to have a sort of review of their higher level classes as well to add to your list, so I posted this comment here.

Recommended! I’ve taken the Basic course via the scholarship and followed it up with the Wolfpacks course. Even if you don’t plan on being a full-time PvP player, the basic course is a good idea so you understand the principles when you are in PvP situations. Take advantage of the scholarship – it’s time well spent.

During the roam you get to see how the classroom material really works. In the Basic course I attended our large frigate fleet took on another large frigate fleet, and cleaned house. Mopped the floor. It was n very effective demonstration of the classroom material.

I just signed up and put down the scholarship info. Looking forward to this class and promise to write up my impressions after the fact!

    Hey Wensley,

I signed up – and I thought I saw two others. My toon was listed on the waiting for payment confirmation list. Is there any other information that I need to supply them (I left a comment about An’Har Family Industries picking up the tab in the original sign-up post)??

Yep – just checked the list for the April class. There are three of us total that signed up looking to use the scholarship and as I am looking at this list on the night of April 6th, there are only 6 paid and confirmed slots open.

    Oh well, maybe May then…..
