I was thinking more along the lines of the actual Sov mechanics code, but errors in the database are more than possible also.

Where is it documented that CCP knew about these issues before hand? I admit I haven't read all the info on this, so maybe I missed this. I havnt seen anything from CCP or otherwise that says that CCP knew about these issues before hand.

I dont ever remember hearing about CCP encountering these issues on the test server either(prior to launch). The truth is, its frustrating, but just because this bug is as big and bad as it is does not mean that they knew about it and ignored it. Its no secret that the test server cannot accurately simulate how things will work on the production server.

I will be the first one to agree with you that EVE Online is a wonderful game.

There are two kinds of bugs, known and unknown. You are talking about unknown bugs and for those I will always give CCP props for working hard to resolve them.

What I am saying is fair because CCP KNEW about these sorts of bugs on the test server.

It's the known ones that they roll from coding to test to production that they DON'T fix or resolve. If you have KNOWN bugs with an expansion, you DON'T roll it into production, you fix it first.

I think you may have something there. AM dropped sov to change the alliance name. It's possible that no one can online a TCU because the database says that there is already an active TCU in system.

I would be lying if I said I was not a bit bitter, but there is such frustration on both sides of this fight (http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&...

What would I have expected was CCP not roll this into production when they encountered these same issues on the test server.

Bugs are hard to track down, but when you see these bugs in the test system, you don't roll it into production until they are fixed.

That's why I am frustrated, CCP knew about these issues, ignored the people on the test server and rolled it into production. Now the game is broken, not because of a random bug, but because a self inflicted issue.

No kidding. Maybe the structure is as simple as the code is not uploading to some of the system nodes as well as it should so parts of it are corrupted. I know that seems simple, but it would explain why some systems are fine an others arent.
