I'm just learning and frequently getting in over my head. Also my corp is small and non-pvp so I usually fly solo atm, but it is there for the fun. If isk runs low, buy cheaper toys :-) I'd rather have good fights than wait for overwhelming backup so my killboard stats looked better. Agreed. I'm never going to be wealthy with this approach by any means but as long as I can afford to maintain a stock of Rifters I will always fly this way. More often than not you get away with a kill for your efforts, sometimes with ship intact too. All makes for good stories to put into my blog too. Very satisfying kill last night for example popping a Vexor while I engaged warp as a Jaguar landed next to me. There is a lot of satisfaction to be had from being efficient but I've decided its nothing like the thrill of throwing yourself into the deep end and seeing what happens.
