Great post Wens. I love the rifter and yes, sometimes just slipping out in this ship and into space looking for a bit of fun and trouble is wonderful. Great to recharge your batteries and all that.

I haven't for ages, I must admit. I really need to revisit some alternative Rifter settings. Just got beaten by a 400 mm RT plate Rifter in a good, close duel.

Aha. Am an outlaw myself, but very inexperienced. I never thought of this. Thanks for the tips.

Nothing beats the satisfaction of defeating superior ships or superior numbers.
Have you tried a CFDE-rigged shield Rifter? It can outlast a Taranis in a point blank range fight.

I'm an outlaw so I have to goad them into engaging me. It can work quite well if you want to split a gang up. Sit on a gate and let some of them engage you then jump through. Let some more of them follow you and then burn back to the gate and jump again, preferably with anyone who followed giving chase. Now most of the gang you jump in should have 15 minute aggression timers to you so you can try and pick them off or warp away.

Being an outlaw can get you a lot of good fights. Keep an eye on your combat log and you can get a good idea of what you're up against from what they hit you with.

Were they all outlaws?
