A little while ago I said that I’d start to compile a list of corporations that accept rookie pilots and attempt to mould them into feared pirates.
- Blood Money Boot Camp – they’re local to us in the Verge Vendor region and we’ve had a lot of fun fighting them. A very good corp lead by Skira Ranos who wrote the excellent piracy guide.
- Black Rabbits Academy – the training wing of one of New Eden’s best known pirate organisations
- Snigwaffe – Sniggerdly’s training arm can lead to joining Pandemic Legion, the current Alliance Tournament champions
- Neo Catamites – apparently gathering dust at the moment due to a lack of teachers
- Esquires of Questionable Intention – contact Zivilya or TheHermit for more information
- The Drekla Consortium
- Pyrotechnics – not an academy as such but they do accept new pirates
- We Do It For The Booty – brand new US timezone pirate school
- Python Academy – a training corporation opened by inveterate blogger Spectre‘s dastardly gang, the Python Cartel.
If you know of any more academies or your own corporation is looking for fresh blood then drop me a note in the comments and I’ll add you to the list.
Although they don’t train pirates, per se, Agony Unleashed run an excellent PvP university that anyone can sign up for. Another good place for new players to get PvP training as well as advice on all aspects of life in New Eden is Eve University.

This is a good list; we've been entertaining an idea for a pirate school / academy but we're too small (when compared to the others in this list) to justify running one at this moment in time. However, you have given me a resource that I can refer would-be pirates who don't meet our current requirements, a place to look at. Thanks!

Not a problem at all, mate. That's pretty much the reason that I started the list. We get loads of enquiries that we just can't accept and its nice to be able to point would be pirates in the right direction.

We should totally start a joint venture pirate academy.

While my corporation, Pyrotechnics Inc., is not an academy, we do accept newer pilots and help them get into piracy. Ok, we only have one trainee so far;)

Oh and I think Veto has a academy also.

Blood Money Bootcamp is the training corp for the Blood Money Cartel. We accept applicants of all skill levels interested in the fine profession of space piracy.

Veto's academy is currently closed so I haven't listed it. Verone is recommending BMBC for the time being.

I highly recommend these guys. As do a lot of the big names in piracy.

Nice list – some names I wasn't familiar with.
Agony Unleashed has PvP University – I think they'd be good ones to include in your list.

Do you do specifically pirate stuff? If so what's the name of the corp? I'll link it here.
October 29th, 2009 at 3:48 pm
Just realised that I never actually added you guys to the list. Fixed now.
October 29th, 2009 at 3:58 pm
I'm surprised they're not on here yet..

I didn't put Agony on because they're not a pirate training corp and they also run individual classes rather than taking on recruits. Its probably worth a shout out to both Agony and Eve Uni for people who want to learn PvP.
