Rifter Drifter

Kirith Kodachi over at Inner Sanctum of the Ninveah has decided to start a new meme. He’s asking where people have been in their Eve career. Being a good blogger I’m taking up the baton and showing my experiences.

As you can see most of my Eve experiences have taken place in Empire space. Being a low security pirate that probably isn’t all that surprising. I have spent some time out in null security space but I could hardly claim to have explored it extensively.

If we zoom in to this map a bit you can see a more accurate picture of my journey so far.

When I first started playing Eve I set up shop in Uttindar in the Metropolis region. This was because Dromedary Goat Albatross and Fish, my first corporation, had an office in this system. It was a good place to be based. Hek was just next door when I needed to use the market there and I could easily get to Aufay in Sinq Laison for corporate training sessions. As I grew and began to run level 3 missions I moved a second base of operations to Rens and Frarn.

By now I had most Minmatar space covered. I began to do courier runs for my corporation picking things up from various bits of low security space in Heimatar and Metropolis. Pretty soon I’d visited pretty much every system in these regions. At this point in my career I was ready to move out to 0.0 space and I made my first trip down to Agil in the Khanid region. My new home was TG-Z23 in Stain and the journey there took me through the notorious gateway of HED-GP and then down through Catch and into Stain. Now my time was split evenly between Empire and Stain with regular roams around the pipe to HED-GP looking for targets and plenty of ratting in the surrounding systems.

The money from ratting in Stain now provided me with the bulk of my income and my visits to Empire began to become solo roams in my Rifter. I’d learnt the basics of PvP and now I was keen to put my knowledge into action. Hagilur, Evati, and Amamake became regular haunts and I began to get good kills. On quiet days I roamed down into the Bleak Lands and Devoid regions.

Eventually I made the decision to become a full time pirate. After being accepted into The Tuskers I moved my base of operations to Hevrice. Verge Vendor and Essence low security space became my regular haunts with roams into Placid being commonplace and treks into Amarrian low security space taking place from time to time. I’ve visited the Eve Gate and made my corporation “kill on sight” to CVA and the Providence Holders.

So what’s next? Well, I’ve made small incursions into Syndicate and the Great Wildlands but I’d like to do more 0.0 roaming. There are plenty of juicy targets out there just waiting for me to pay them a visit. If I remember I’ll do a repeat post in the future and see if I’ve added to my knowledge of New Eden in the meantime.
